TACTICAL BALLISTICS

Android · free · offline

Dial the number. Know where it came from.

A ballistics workstation for rifle shooting: a point-mass solver with real drag tables, the tools that keep it honest, and libraries that stop you retyping your kit. Nothing you put into it leaves your phone.

Four tools, one bar

The calculator showing elevation and windage for a 600 m shot
Calculator What to dial, the drop and drift it corrects for, and the clicks on your own turrets. Wind, spin drift and Coriolis in the air you are standing in.
The scope view with the reticle, target and solution marked
Scope view Your reticle over the target at its real subtension, with the solution marked. Turret readout in the unit your glass is engraved in.
A group measured from a photograph of a target
Groups Photograph the target, mark a known length, tap the holes. Spread, mean radius, where it sits and what to dial — filed against the load that shot it.
The par timer showing a trace of what the microphone heard, with four shots detected
Par timer Start beep, par beeps, and shots timed by the microphone on the same clock. It shows what it heard, so the sensitivity is something you read rather than guess.

What it is, and what it is not

A 3-DOF point-mass solver using tabulated G1 and G7 drag, humid-air density, the speed of sound at your temperature, Coriolis including the vertical term, and a published spin-drift fit. The same class of model as mainstream field solvers — with a good G7 coefficient and an honest chronograph figure, usually within a fraction of a mil out to transonic.

It is not certified firing-table data and does not replace confirming your dope on paper or steel. Wind that varies along the flight path, aerodynamic jump and muzzle-velocity spread beyond the figure you give it are deliberately not modelled, and the app says so where it matters instead of burying it.

Nothing in it invents a load. Powder charges, pressures and load-development advice come from the maker's current data, not from software.

Your kit, kept once

Loads, bullets, rifles, scopes and targets are separate libraries, in folders. Correct a ballistic coefficient once and every load built on that bullet is corrected with it.

No chronograph? True it.

Shoot a known distance, enter the drop, and the velocity falls out. Enter several and you get the band they cover — plus a warning when they disagree in the particular way that means your BC is wrong rather than your velocity.

Reads in your units

Metric or imperial, and the angular unit follows the glass: MOA turrets read in MOA, MIL turrets in MIL. You dial exactly what the screen says.

Works with no signal

Everything is solved on the device. The only thing that ever leaves it is a coordinate, and only if you press Fetch weather.
